A Peculiar Inheritance - The 91st Annual Waa-Mu Show

Antiques. Socialites. Secrets. “A Peculiar Inheritance” takes place at the estate of an esteemed watchmaker, the late Archibald Beaucourt. There, friends and family of Archibald attend an auction of his most prized possessions, and everything proceeds without a hitch – that is, until a one-of-a-kind clock vanishes in the middle of the auction. The clockmaker’s child, still reconciling grief with a strained relationship with their father, is left to find the clock before the thief escapes. As the mystery begins to unravel, family secrets are thrust into the spotlight.

As co-producer with Daniel Maton, I was responsible for leading the creative production of A Peculiar Inheritance across music, writing, and design teams. I also assisted in managing the associated student organization, leading the IDEA, Education, and Outreach teams.

Notable achievements of this production are recouping a near $30,00 budget deficit from the COVID-19 pandemic, introducing the first student designer and understudy/swing programs in modern production history, and successfully transitioning to new artistic leadership under Johanna McKenzie Miller.
