Dramaturgy
I frequently introduce my work as a new work dramaturg as “someone who has no business writing a play, but is a great editor.” I love bringing my work as a producer and director directly to supporting playwrights, assisting in the creation of work that will translate as true as possible to the stage from its origins in the dreams of a writer. I am particularly drawn to development of musical theatre, bolstered by my background as a performer and composer.
I have worked as a developmental dramaturg for plays and musicals, including as the Director of Growth and Development for the Los Angeles Theatre Initiative, supporting the development of seven new plays from the application process through premiere productions at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
